A history of friends & trouble
Talim Ruffin was found dead in Ellenwood. He was shot twice, wrapped in a blue blanket and garbage bags, and decomposing in the trunk of his own, burgundy-colored, 2000 Pontiac Bonneville. The car was abandoned in an unfinished housing development, where the construction had stalled, according to the Clayton County Police...
While police say they don't have any leads, Ruffin's mother, Iris Pinkie Ruffin, said her son had a history of getting into trouble, because he was with the wrong crowd.
"It was somebody he knows," she speculated. "Somebody he knows, definitely. I've probably hugged the guy who did it."

Mr. Sillman, your story was very insulting and was made to make my words unfeeling I do acknowledge that journalism is selling demeaning information, but your portrayal sounded as if I said my son deserved to be murdered, and you have caused me great distress in my time of pain and grieving. I loved my son and know that I said he was turning his life around, among a few other good things, but you felt that wasn't degrading enough I guess. Thank you for being the representation of a heartless system.
ReplyDeleteMs. Ruffin,
ReplyDeleteDon't let Mr. Silliman get to you. The devil is at work and he will use anyone. I personally know you and your family. Talim was my first neighborhood (L.Homes)boyfriend and I cared about him. And I know where he came from and what his family was all about. You had great intentions. I never got the chance to say goodbye to him. I know it has been 2-3 years since he has left us, but his spirit lives on. In fact, it felt like his spirit visited me yesterday. I always wondered what happened to him when ya'l moved. I have so many memories of Talim, it brings a smile to my face. One thing I can say is that he was very protective over his loved ones. No matter what he did in his past he was a good person at heart. He was a walking progress. However, the devil did not want God to prevail. But he did. Talim is with God now. My heart and prayer goes out to you and your family. My family will always have an open heart/hand for you and yours if there is anything you need. Just continue to instill your values into your other sons no matter how old they are. Hopefully you will read this comment one day or maybe never. I just wanted to put it out there for me to have closure as well.
Hope all is well
